Most of the room photos on this site are AI-staged. Each one begins as a photorealistic, ray-traced 3D render of the exact piece, made from the same model we cut it from, in the real grain and colour of its finish; the room around it is then created with AI so you can picture the piece at home. Every staged photo is validated for true colour and for a true representation of the model before it is used. We take extra care that our pieces are represented accurately, in our photos and in the 3D models you can view in your own space. Here is how one of those photos is made, and how we check it, following one piece from start to finish: the Kyma Wavy Bookshelf 5x6 in Summit.
From the model to the photo

True to the piece
We check every staged photo against the model before it goes on the site: the form, the proportions, the joinery and the finish you see are what you will receive. If a photo drifts from the real piece, we do not use it.
The finish is the real material
Every finish in our photos is drawn from the supplier’s own digital scan of the full laminate sheet we buy (Arauco’s Prism range), laid on at its true size, so the grain runs at the real scale and in the real direction on every board. We then match each photo’s colour and texture by eye against the actual sheets in our shop and against that digital sheet, and correct or retake any photo that drifts.
Screens show colour differently, so a finish can look slightly lighter or warmer on yours than in person.
We build them, too
The parts are cut on a CNC machine, and we edge band and pack every piece ourselves, checking each part against the drawing as we go, before it is packed for you.
The room is illustrative
The walls, floors, plants, books, records, art and objects in our photos are styling. They are not included, and they may not exist exactly as shown.
Some photos have a Complete the look button: it shows decor from other shops that suits the photo, not always the exact items in it.
See it in your own room
Every piece has a 3D model in each of its finishes. On a phone, tap View in your space on the piece’s page to place it, full size, where you are standing. On a computer, scan the code under the photos with your phone.
